Crocs Given Clean Bill of Health

The Product Safety Review Board recently reviewed the case against the popular soft soled shoes known as Crocs and suggested that they have been unfairly treated in the press.

Crocs are wildly trendy with nurses, boaters, kids, and even professors. The alledged issue is that they have been reported to get stuck in escalators, causing pain and sometimes worse. The Safety Board decided that Crocs are safe because, despite the hysteria of well-meaning parents, there are only 3 cases of Crocs actually getting stuck in escalators.

The truth is that escalators are inherently dangerous, not our footwear! So if you have children or wear Crocs yourself, take precautions on escalators as you would if wearing flip-flops, or carrying long scarfs for that matter.
