Broadway Tickets A Major Part Of New York City Society
Broadway tickets are so popular in New York City that they are a major part of the economy. During the strike when most major musicals and plays shut down do to a dispute with the stage hands the city was losing over two million dollars a day and local restaurants were truly suffering. Not only that but many visitors to the Theater District were out of luck and could not see the show they had tickets for. They all were offered a refund but most had such disappointment that their vacation to New York City did not include taking in a show and enjoying the true theater experience. Now that Broadway tickets are back and selling the shows are all open and enjoying the success they had once again. The Thanksgiving weekend is one of the biggest for the shows and the strike ran through it so Broadway tickets did not sell for the busiest time of the year, but at least the holiday season was not ruined all together.
